Prayers – Monday, October 19, 2026

Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not – Jeremiah 33:3

It’s conversing with a trusted Friend;
His smiling is what I envision.
Longing for our time apart,
To talk and to hear my heart.

By encouraging me to feel,
With Him I can always be real,
And know that every word
Won’t be ignored, but heard.

So, when I go back to my day,
I arrive in a refreshed way.
And life suddenly becomes less grey,
Because I took time to pray.

The opening poem encompasses the intimacy of spending time with God through prayer. Unlike human relationships that are oftentimes conditioned by one’s behavior and whether it’s acceptable, there is no need to become someone we’re not.  God already knows who we are, so we can come to Him relaxed and ready to fellowship.

I’ve discovered that the word “Prayers”—when perceived as P.R.A.Y.E.R.S. (Praying Regularly Always Yields Everlasting Rewards Spiritually)—offers a message worth exploring. I hope you’ll join me in this week’s discussions about the benefits of daily prayer.
