Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven – Matthew 5:16
As June steps in to take May’s place,
I will continue at a steady pace.
Focusing on where I want to be,
Unconcerned about what must occupy me.
I won’t be simply turning a calendar’s page,
But I’ll be looking to a newer stage.
Trusting that the God who carried me thus far,
Will continue to be my Guiding Star.
The opening poem, “Transitioning,” was originally intended for the last day of May to cultivate a positive outlook for June, yet with a few minor adjustments, I chose the first day of the month for it to appear. I believe it best suits the day that precedes tomorrow’s recognition of this platform’s tenth anniversary. It describes my determination to continue my assignment despite the awareness of my limitations, “what must occupy me,” yet relying on God’s presence, “my Guiding Star,” to direct and give me grace.
While transitioning into a new phase for 2beencouraged may include future changes, the mission will remain committed to fulfilling Matthew 5:16 through writings purposed to inspire and edify. I will likewise continue to express my heartfelt appreciation to all those who continue to take time out of their day to visit.
