During a very challenging time, I felt a need for redirection. I had no doubt God had a purpose for my life, but I could not discern it. During that period of confusion, I sensed God instructing me to write for Him. At the time, I was unsure of how God wanted to use my writing. However, I did not doubt that His assignment required me to bring a message of encouragement and inspiration.
The opening provides a glimpse into this ministry’s background, which began by distributing emails containing short uplifting messages to a group of supporters. The first, June 28, 2013, referenced Matthew 6:25 and encouraged: “We need to trust God to do for us what we can’t do for ourselves. Give those stresses in our lives to Him, for He has the power to drain them away.” This venue, along with the establishment of a website, continued for several years. Then, after a short sabbatical, revived and ready to resume my ministry, 2beencouraged.com/blog was launched on this platform on June 2, 2016.
Hopefully, my sharing this ministry’s journey will inspire you to keep moving forward in your own, trusting that God is by your side. Then you can, like me, confidently declare this verse from the Carpenter’s song: “We’ve only just begun!
