The Verdict – Thursday, May 21, 2026

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places – Ephesians 6:12

So far, the case against the defendant—accused robber—was moving along for the prosecution team.  The victim testified that she had let down her guard to focus on the defendant’s behavior; thereby, her peace and joy were stolen. Therefore, it was no surprise when the verdict revealed he had become a pawn of the enemy—a fact he readily acknowledged. Then admitted he should have known better.

Satan is always on the lookout to both employ and destroy. This was my intended message for the opening scenario. His purpose isn’t only to victimize, but to find targets he can use as accomplices for his schemes. It became an important reminder when someone’s poor behavior had affected my mood, and I had forgotten to apply Isaiah 26:3 over the situation, which says: “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”

Ephesians 6:12 reveals the verdict: Satan is the true perpetrator of evil deeds. He will use whoever and whatever he can to accomplish his mission. This underscores the importance of being vigilant to avoid becoming one of his victims.
