The works of the Lord are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein – Psalm 111:2

My otherwise favorable run had hit a roadblock as I stood in line at the grocery store’s customer service counter during the resolution of another individual’s dispute. My lengthy wait to exchange several smaller denominations for a $50 to give as a gift was futile, since the store no longer carried larger bills. Disappointed and frustrated, I turned and encountered a woman who desired smaller bills for her $50. Minutes later, I walked out of the store, grateful to have witnessed divine intervention.

Her need became the supply for my need.   This had been one of the annotations in my journal to reflect what had taken place earlier in the day. Another: Waiting is the prerequisite for ascertaining anything worth pursuing. These recordings served a dual purpose: to show gratitude for God’s fulfillment of 2 Corinthians 8:14 and to remind me that patience when seeking to do something good will be rewarded.

Though the situation you may be in is layered with disappointment and frustration, trust that God is working behind the scenes. Keep doing what is right, and soon you’ll discover the wonderful manifestation of His handiwork in unexpected ways.
