And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again – 2 Corinthians 5:15
As I stood in line
It never crossed my mind
That I would be treated unequally
But it soon became the case
When I was forced to face
That I would be treated differently
Was it the color of my skin
That caused the woman
To have graciously served
The one who took
What I had not forsook
Yet granted what I deserved
So, it’s clear to see
It’s only Jesus’ love that guarantees
Every person will be treated equally
Maybe you have had a similar experience, and it made you rightly upset to be treated unfairly. While the reality is that such biased behavior will continue until Jesus returns, we can nevertheless take comfort in knowing that we serve a God who loves us all the same. Jesus’ death on the cross “for all” was proof. Therefore, we can find peace in knowing we all hold equal value in His eyes,
