The Finish Line – Sunday, November 8, 2026

Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing – 2 Timothy 4:8

Dear Lord,

Help me run with the air blowing me
In the direction of where I need to be.
Strengthen me when I become weak,
So turning around, I won’t seek.

Stay alongside me in Your chosen race;
Move my feet to align with Your pace.
Keep my eyes focused on my path,
Unconcerned with what other runners have,
Wanting only what’s assigned as mine,
When I victoriously cross my finish line.

While beginnings, durations, and challenges will differ in our endeavors, the desired finish line is the same, which is to hear what the two servants in Jesus’ Parable of the Talents were told: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

Hopefully, the opening prayer will be yours on your way to the finish line, assured, like the apostle Paul, of the receipt of your “crown of righteousness.”
