Scenario #2 – Don’t Sweat It! – Wednesday, September 16, 2026

For he performeth the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with him – Job 23:14

Barely hearing the valet’s compliment on his white Buick, Howard scurried through the hotel lobby, guided by signs for a new authors’ showcase. He paused at the door, which was covered by a large poster of his book, Don’t Sweat It, Your Seat Won’t Be Taken. Taking a deep breath, Howard entered the room and delivered his speech. “Just remember, whatever God has for you won’t be taken by anyone else—not even some AI deepfake,” he concluded, as the audience erupted into applause and laughter.

“I just loved what you said,” a young woman gushed as Howard autographed her copy. “I only wish the lunatic driving the white Buick, who was speeding as if no one else were on the road, could read your book.” Howard smiled warmly.  Oh, I’ll make certain that he reads it, Howard thought.

Howard forgot to put into practice what he stressed in his book about not fretting, and it caused him to behave anxiously.  It’s a reality that can happen at any time, which makes remembering the message in Job 23:14 so essential, thereby trusting that we’ll always be on time for what’s been divinely appointed.  In other words: Don’t Sweat It!
