I seek each morning, when I rise,
To place my mind on Your eyes;
And I seek to hear Your voice,
To be wise in every choice.
I seek not to go astray,
But to honor You and obey.
Even when given a heavy robe,
I seek to be faithful, like Job,
To embrace all Your ways,
That I may grow old and full of days.
“So Job died, being old and full of days” (Job 42:17). What a wonderful epitaph for a man who, despite suffering unimaginable loss and pain, chose to remain faithful to God. His actions were well rewarded, as described in an earlier verse: “So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than the beginning” (Job 42:12). Job’s resilience was not only honorable but also serves as an inspiration for every believer, proving that trials are meant to demonstrate unwavering faith and that God rewards in unexpected ways.
Each day we’ve been gifted is an opportunity to live fully, no matter the condition we may find ourselves in, so that others will see and remember a legacy of fullness.
