It metaphorically describes Monica White’s elated reentrance into dating after a disappointing marriage that ended in divorce.
Sometimes God will give us spiritual warnings—an uneasiness within—and other times He will alert us to impending dangers through people. That was my conclusion after the movie, bringing back the memory of the 1997 film Titanic. While the blockbuster was famous for the fictional love story between Jack and Rose, it also showed the true horror of the ship’s legacy: the loss of fifteen hundred lives at sea. The captain of the Titanic, despite warnings of ice accumulation, maintained a high cruising speed, which is speculated to have contributed to the ship’s fate.
I believe that God’s promise in 1 Corinthians 10:13, which says: “will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape,” includes warning signals of potential harm. That should not be ignored.
