Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ – 1 Peter 1:13
“The sales figures for April weren’t what we should have had,” the store manager announced. “Which means, we’re going to start this new month off and running. Everyone who walks through those doors should see your pearly whites. And their ears should hear a warm and friendly, ‘I’m here to help you.’ I want everyone who enters this store to feel confident about spending their money here. I want them to believe that May is their month to say ‘Yes!’ in here.”
How’s your entrance? This was my question as I considered the new month, prompting me to ponder the saying about how one’s entrance into a room sets the tone and its similarity to starting May. I was reminded that my attitude will significantly influence my experiences and that simply entering a different month doesn’t secure changes. If I want to see differences, then I must improve my entrance.
The saying, “Nothing changes if nothing changes,” applies to the start of a new month. That it will be a revolving door, unless chosen to enter differently. So, I ask you the same question: How’s your entrance?
