Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? – Psalm 139:7

While on an unfamiliar road
Or carrying a heavy load
When I can’t sleep at night
And I struggle to find the light

When I seek the right way
But somehow, I still stray
On the wrong path, I’ll roam
And Your loving hand guides me home

It’s obvious to me
That wherever I am, there You will be
So, no matter life’s weather
We’ll get through it together.

The first time I heard “We got this!” was during a commercial with two grandparents tasked with watching their grandbaby. While both had found their assignment overwhelming, the grandmother seemed the more perplexed until her husband’s confident assurance.  I’ve adopted the same affirmation of faith, with the “we” to indicate God’s presence with me through the Holy Spirit; thereby acknowledging His active involvement in every situation I encounter.

This Sunday, I hope my assurance is yours as well.  That whatever life throws your way, with God by your side, you can confidently say: “We’ll get through it together.”
