Spiritually Strapped – Monday, April 20, 2026

For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock – Psalm 27:5

Satan, you can’t touch me,
Not with grace and mercy on my side.
You won’t find me,
In God’s pavilion, I will hide.
Like the eagles in the sky,
I will soar, protected from on High.

Are you spiritually strapped?  This had been the thought that led me to compose the opening poem about preparing an offensive mindset to deal with Satan.  I was prompted to remember that the devil will often, like a bully, attack when vulnerable and unsuspecting, exploiting weaknesses and fragilities.  This is why it’s important to work on his perception.  That instead of seeing an easy mark, he’ll discover someone ready to deal with him in God’s power.

While it’s not required for Christians to walk on eggshells—living in concern over the how, where, and when of Satan’s attack—we nevertheless should have a mindset of expected preparedness. So, this Monday, are you spiritually strapped?”
