But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him – 1 Corinthians 2:9
From the moment I open my eyes,
It’s important to recognize
What’s been given to me:
A 24-hour window of opportunity
When something could happen today
To change my life in a dramatic way,
With the fulfillment of God’s Word—
“Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard.”
So, with expectation, I thankfully gloat,
Because I begin this day on a good note.
The opening poem was inspired by “You Are Able,” sung during Sunday’s worship with the lyrics: “Nothing You cannot do/Nothing You cannot change/Nothing You cannot turn around.” It highlighted not only God’s Authority but also reminded me of 1 Corinthians 2:9 and its broad range of possibilities. This means that each day is a potential opportunity for its manifestation.
I hope, like me, that you don’t wait until the end of your day to appreciate it ending on a good note. Instead, you begin it on a good note with gratitude and expectation, trusting that each day is an opportunity to be blessed like never before.
