It tickled my ear
To unexpectedly hear:
What hadn’t been put into word
Had nevertheless been heard.
I guess God wanted me to see
He takes His promises seriously.
No concern is ever turned away,
Whether uttered or chosen not to say.
So today, I thankfully witnessed
Prayers will never be dismissed.
They are kept in a special place,
Timely answered through grace.
The fact that it wasn’t conveyed in the form of a prayer request did not exclude your thoughts from reaching God’s ears and His purpose to answer them. This was the intended message of the opening poem, inspired upon learning about something wonderful that had taken place. Although I had been uncertain whether I had expressed my well-wishes for another individual through prayer, they were nevertheless given divine attention, becoming an excellent reminder of Romans 8:26.
Hopefully, my testimony deepens your assurance that God not only hears your prayers, even the unspoken ones, but He also assigns their scheduled answer.
