The opening is an excerpt written years ago from God’s perspective during a time I questioned His allowance of certain hardships. It came to mind as I recently encountered a public situation that left me feeling very humiliated, and I pondered why God hadn’t intervened. In response to my protests, I was reminded that my blunder could have been more embarrassing if not for divine timing, which limited its exposure. It made me recall Shem and Japheth in Genesis 9:20–23, who covered their naked, drunken father, Noah, to prevent him from public shame.
Maybe like me, you’ve experienced times when you felt let down by God. And while it’s natural to express your disappointment, you must never forget that God’s mercy and grace are with you, and that you are constantly covered no matter what you face,
