It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not – Lamentations 3:22
With August coming to an end,
Makes me consider where I’ve been.
During these thirty-one days,
The dark clouds and the sun rays.
When things were favorable,
And when they seemed unstable,
But like the author of Lamentations who wrote,
Verse 3:22, I too can thankfully quote,
That God’s love didn’t cease,
Or that He chose not to release
Undeserved mercy and grace,
For everything I was given to face.
So, when this month ends,
And September begins,
Whether it has me well or ailing,
My God’s love will still be unfailing.
I’ve discovered that one of the best ways to prepare for the uncertainties of a new month is to reflect upon what doesn’t change: God’s unfailing love, grace, and mercy. Hopefully, you have found this to be true.
