But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another – Galatians 6:4
I choose this day to face
It’s time to end the chase
After what I thought would be
Is not my reality
Which I now know
Wasn’t my window
So with a sigh of relief
I’ll cling to this belief
While I enjoy my stroll
My path, God will unfold
An insightful assessment from Mark Twain is: “The two most important days in your life are the day you are born, and the day you find out why.” This discovery will be a journey that includes stops and starts, wins and disappointments. Metaphorically speaking, it’s acquiring shoes that fit from trying those that don’t. Finding your niche will ultimately come from the honest recognition of what isn’t working and the humble acceptance of God’s authoritative rule over His creation and their purpose.
Walking at a slower pace often occurs when tired after running or jogging. This shift can also be experienced spiritually when you finally realize your true path and no longer feel the need to rush. Strolling is now just fine.
