{"id":13579,"date":"2026-10-31T19:02:40","date_gmt":"2026-10-31T19:02:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/2beencouraged.com\/blog\/?page_id=13579"},"modified":"2026-10-31T19:02:40","modified_gmt":"2026-10-31T19:02:40","slug":"the-baton-monday-november-2-2026","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/2beencouraged.com\/blog\/the-baton-monday-november-2-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"The Baton &#8211; Monday, November 2, 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\">But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God \u2013 <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>Acts 20:24\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Mind ready, feet strong,<br \/>\nLike a runner in a relay race,<br \/>\nI\u2019ve been handed a baton<br \/>\nOf new dreams to chase.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, I dare not slow down;<br \/>\nThere\u2019s much awaiting me.<br \/>\nFocused and onward bound,<br \/>\nThis, I\u2019m determined to be.<\/p>\n<p>Even if faced with discouragement,<br \/>\nAnd my zeal starts to slack,<br \/>\nI\u2019ll seek God&#8217;s encouragement\u2014<br \/>\nTo get my momentum back.<\/p>\n<p>With the right frame of mind,<br \/>\nAnd my eyes refocused on<br \/>\nWhat\u2019s appointed me to find,<br \/>\nWhile running with my baton.<\/p>\n<p>Envisioning myself running in a relay race inspired the opening poem, \u201cMy Baton,\u201d which represents a continuation of aspirations\u2014some new and others yet to have manifested.
