{"id":13396,"date":"2026-09-20T20:49:19","date_gmt":"2026-09-20T20:49:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/2beencouraged.com\/blog\/?page_id=13396"},"modified":"2026-09-20T20:49:19","modified_gmt":"2026-09-20T20:49:19","slug":"the-robe-2-of-3-wednesday-september-23-2026","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/2beencouraged.com\/blog\/the-robe-2-of-3-wednesday-september-23-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"The Robe (2 of 3) &#8211; Wednesday, September 23, 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness \u2013 <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>Psalm 30:11<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Grief is an undesired choice,<br \/>\nGreeted with a wailing voice.<br \/>\nEven if alerted to its arrival,<br \/>\nHope clings to denial\u2014<br \/>\nThat you\u2019ll never see<br \/>\nSuch a horrible reality.<\/p>\n<p>So, this unwanted friend<br \/>\nIs remorsefully shown in.<br \/>\nWhen asked how long it\u2019ll stay,<br \/>\nGrief will never say.<br \/>\nA few months or much longer?<br \/>\nTo be made weaker or stronger?<\/p>\n<p>The answers won\u2019t be found<br \/>\nBy mourning the one no longer around,<br \/>\nBut in a willingness to take into tomorrow<br \/>\nComforting memories, not a robe of sorrow.<\/p>\n<p>If you have experienced grief, particularly from the death of a loved one, the opening poem may very well have spoken to your pain.
