In other words, he had taken a stand in the wrong way.<\/p>\n While a person\u2019s heart may have the right motive, their behavior is the ultimate measure.<\/em> This had been my thought at the conclusion of Judge Judy\u2019s ruling, as well as Moses\u2019 actions described in Exodus 2:11. Although Moses was justifiably angered when \u201che spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren,\u201d and felt compelled to do something, his decision\u2014when not witnessed, \u201che slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand\u201d (vs. 12)\u2014was wrong. And there were other examples in the Bible when individuals, though driven by good intentions, acted wrongly and were met with God\u2019s judgment.<\/p>\n Just as the Bible teaches\u2014as in Romans 3:8\u2014that taking a stand in the wrong way does not make it right, there are other teachings about demonstrating your principles properly.
