{"id":13048,"date":"2026-07-05T17:42:26","date_gmt":"2026-07-05T17:42:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/2beencouraged.com\/blog\/?page_id=13048"},"modified":"2026-07-05T17:42:26","modified_gmt":"2026-07-05T17:42:26","slug":"knowing-your-role-monday-july-6-2026","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/2beencouraged.com\/blog\/knowing-your-role-monday-july-6-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Knowing Your Role &#8211; Monday, July 6, 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all &#8211; <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>1 Chronicles 29:11<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Dear Lord,<br \/>\nBefore I start my day,<br \/>\nTo You I humbly pray<br \/>\nThat as it unfolds<br \/>\nI\u00a0won\u2019t\u00a0confuse our roles<br \/>\nAnd believe that I can do<br \/>\nWhat\u2019s only assigned to You.<\/p>\n<p>The phrase \u201cKnow Your Role\u201d was a frequent expression Dwayne Johnson, AKA \u201cThe Rock,\u201d would yell as a forewarning to his wrestling opponent. \u00a0Its purpose was to alert the opposition to their ineptness compared to his untarnished record in the ring.\u00a0\u00a0Not only was The Rock\u2019s utterance an excellent form of smack talk, but it is also worthwhile advice spiritually.\u00a0\u00a0Recognizing the chain of command as a Christian is the best defense against unnecessary stress and unrealistic expectations.
