{"id":12787,"date":"2026-05-17T18:30:26","date_gmt":"2026-05-17T18:30:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/2beencouraged.com\/blog\/?page_id=12787"},"modified":"2026-05-17T18:37:16","modified_gmt":"2026-05-17T18:37:16","slug":"neediness-monday-may-18-2026","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/2beencouraged.com\/blog\/neediness-monday-may-18-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Neediness &#8211; Monday, May 18, 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Blessed is the man that\u00a0trusteth\u00a0in the\u00a0Lord, and whose hope the\u00a0Lord\u00a0is \u2013 <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>Jeremiah 17:7<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Your faithfulness and Your mercy<br \/>\nAre my water<br \/>\nFor I am thirsty<br \/>\nLike a child<\/p>\n<p>I need Your hand<br \/>\nTo lead me and guide me<br \/>\nBe the Friend<br \/>\nWho walks beside me<br \/>\nAs my Father<br \/>\nYou understand me.<\/p>\n<p>My dependence on God is what I sought to describe in the opening chorus, where I conclude: \u201cNever will I not need.\u201d This condition of neediness is what the author of Psalm 42:1 disclosed: &#8220;As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.\u201d\u00a0 And then in verse 2: \u201cMy soul thirsteth for God, for the living God.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">The word &#8220;neediness&#8221; usually conjures up thoughts of someone clingy and unhealthily dependent; however, that isn\u2019t the case when applied spiritually.
