Time to rise and shine,
Prepare my heart and mind
To be confident on this day
For whatever comes my way.
Assured that God’s power
Dwells within me every minute, every hour,
To react with wisdom and clarity
As the Holy Spirit guides me.
Just as it’s prudent to be aware of weather conditions to ensure proper attire before leaving the house, so it is important to be mentally ready to face the knowns and unknowns. This entails facing whatever is encountered by trusting in the Holy Spirit’s presence and direction and behaving in a manner that honors God.
I’m learning that having confidence to address a situation in the right manner requires God’s power and companionship. Knowing that you’ll be empowered and that you’re not alone are the perfect ingredients for rising and shining each day.
