I’m smiling, because I made it through/Periods of rough patches brought me to/This better season/A joyous reason/For me to give You praise/With voice and hands I’ll raise/Because I’m able to march into this day/Leaving the cares of life along the way/You guided so I could see/Hopeful tomorrows are awaiting me.
Even though winter isn’t officially over, the remaining days until spring are simply a formality. Much like a football game, when one team is leading by thirty points, but there’s still a short window of time on the clock. Yet both teams are going through the motions even though the outcome is certain. The same reality can be applied now, and is worth rejoicing over, knowing winter’s timing is running out and better is coming! Oh, how wonderful that sounds!
On this first day in March, I hope the realization that you survived two tumultuous months of winter inspires you to put a pep in your step. Marching forward, you can be confident in God’s faithful love this month and the ones to follow.
